The Indian version of American reality TV, singing competition The Voice is set to hit on &TV from June 6. The producers of the show are leaving no stone unturned to create a buzz around it.
The Voice, India already has big names like Shaan, Mika Singh Himesh Reshammiya and Sunidhi Chauhan associated with it. And now buzz is that the team is in talks with American pop star Christina Aguilera to be a part of the show.
News sources suggest that the makers want the pop sensation to appear on few episodes of the show. The team believe that if Christina who has been a part of The Voice (American version) for four seasons, comes in as a special guest she will not only add a new flavour to the Indian edition but also bring some tips and tricks to the table. It’s said that the Grammy award winner has shown a lot of interest in the proposal and the schedule is now being worked out to suit her available dates.
Confirming the news, a sources associated with the show has been quoted by a publication saying, “Yes, we are looking at an international singer for The Voice India but are still working out the elements wherein there is a perfect sync between the format and the international coach. But it is too early for us to confirm any names.”
With songs like Genie In The Bottle, Moves Like A Jagger to her credit, Christina has been regarded as one of Hollywood’s 100 greatest singers of all time, and has sold 50 million albums world wide.
