The singer reveals her fellow Voice coach is very competitive
With rumours of an argument between the coaches going round since The Voice US began, Christina Aguilera has revealed that she and Adam Levine know how to get each other “riled up”.
Speaking to The AP, Christina said she enjoys watching Adam try and pitch himself to contestants, labelling him a “genius”.
She said: “Adam’s like deliciously competitive. You just see his, you know, the blood boiling because he’s the best sales pitch. I mean, he’s a genius sales pitch guy… He’ll sell a used car to your grandma.”
Having returned to the series after a year out, where she was replaced by Shakira, Christina insisted that she is more comfortable than ever with the other coaches:
“That’s what was so cool about coming back this season is because there’s a comfort level that we’ve never had before.
“That it’s just like we know each other so well. We know what’s going to get each other ticking or riled up, emotional. And it’s cool.”
Meanwhile, the first episode of the new season saw coach Adam Levine getting hit on by a hopeful.
Having got the Maroon 5 frontman’s attention with his rendition of Blu Cantrell’s Hit ‘Em Up Style, the talented singer asked Adam: “What’s going on handsome?”, to which Adam who looked pretty dapper in a pair of ripped jeans and a black shirt, replied: “Well what’s your name handsome?”, before joking adding: “Flattery will get you everywhere.”
