In a press call this morning, Christina elaborated on her recent shout out to Brit, in which she tweeted support for Femme Fetale:
She went on to say the two are “old friends” going way back to their Mickey Mouse Club days. Christina also had kind words for Jennifer Hudson recently, tweeting:
When asked about her own ups and downs (such as her detainment for public intoxication), she expressed how her positive outlook will help contestants on her new show, The Voice, by saying that everybody can learn from their mistakes — and pass that knowledge on to others. It seems fitting then, that she’s one of four judge slash mentors on NBC’s upcoming singing contest. Not only are the judges on hand to pick new talent, they they’re also tasked with personally guiding them through the process. She is teamed with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee-Lo Green — who, it was revealed today — will all also perform a number together on the show. Christina also explained how The Voice differs from American Idol and other televised singing contests by revealing that they do not actually see the contestants the first time they sing. The selection process is based solely on their singing voice. Only after the judges have heard them perform do they decide if their talent is worthy of moving on in a blind vote. Until this month, we haven’t had much of a chance to see the man behind the outrageous Grammy costume, but that is all about to change when NBC’s “The Voice” premieres. Zap2it caught up with Green at LA’s Nightbird recording studio on Friday (Apr. 1) to ask him a little bit about what we can expect from the new singing competition, on which he serves as one of four celebrity mentors. “I’m a renaissance kind of guy,” he says of his musical style. “I could do just about whatever I please and so I do wish to do things that are a little uncommon and peculiar and see can I make them work.” That said, when it comes to the types of contestants he chooses to mentor, viewers can expect Green to have a wide variety. Something he says gives him an edge in the competition. “The team that I have so far is very varied,” he explains. “I have quite a few different styles represented. I think I have a better fighting chance because I’m in different areas.” Joined by fellow coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera on the show, Green tells us there’s one that definitely won’t go down without a fight. “She’s the toughest one of us all,” he confesses of the sole female on the panel, Ms. Aguilera. “She’s very stern very serious and very professional about her job. We’re a bunch of goofy guys, otherwise. Just kinda messing around and cracking jokes and pranks and stuff like that.” You see the coaches’ dynamics for yourself when “The Voice” premieres on NBC Tuesday, April 26 at 9 PM. Source: Zap It

Filed under: Recent Headlines Leave a comment | 3 Comments | Join Xtina-Forum.com for further more discussion Christina Aguilera burst out from under the shadow of scandal she’s been living beneath to enjoy the Californian sunshine with her son Max today – as she played the role of doting mother with conviction. The Burlesque star, 30 , even managed some friendly conversation with estranged husband Jordan Bratman, 33, as he handed over the three-year-old’s toys and chair after dropping him off at the Santa Monica pre-school. It created a startlingly different vignette from the images currently associated with the Ain’t No Other Man singer. Her toy-boy boyfriend she was arrested with in West Hollywood on suspicion of DUI and public intoxication, was nowhere to be seen today. She was later cleared and released while Matt Rutler, who had been driving, was charged and only discharged with $30,000 bail. Aguilera met the 25-year-old production assistant on the set of Burlesque last year, and has seen her reputation plummet since they made their relationship official in November last year. It has been claimed that they had already been dating for some months, but Aguilera only filed for divorce from Bratman in October, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’ It’s been downhill from there on in, with performances at the Grammys and the Super Bowl lambasted – the latter saw her forget the words to the National Anthem - and course that arrest. The mugshot of Aguilera that finally made it’s way into the public domain was terrifying in itself but then the tales of drug excess and a terrible dependence on alcohol began to circulate. Her arrest sheet seemed to back this up, with officers noting that she was ‘not capable of looking after herself’ and ‘didn’t even know where she lived.’ However, the diva – who has seen disappointing sales of her most recent material – is forging ahead. Even her most recent blow, a memory card from her camera containing intimate shots was found in Paris hotel, has not stopped the blonde from giving her all to new NBC show The Voice. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will open a ground-breaking and provocative new exhibit May 13 that will illustrate the important roles women have played in rock and roll, from its inception through today. Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power will highlight artifacts and video from more than 60 artists showing the flashpoints, the firsts, the best, the celebrated and sometimes lesser-known women who moved rock and roll music and American culture forward. Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power will showcase several items from Christina Aguilera’s personal collection including her Mickey Mouse Club jacket, a Polaroid of Christina and Britney Spears at the Mickey Mouse Club and the leaf green Versace dress she wore for Versace’s 2003 ad campaign.
