My character – her name is allie Marilyn rose – she comes from Iowa – she works in a bar as a waitress – she has a dream – wants to sing – her grandma passes – she leaves & goes to los Angeles to see what happens – she’s a free spirit – an open mind – a little tough – a little venerable like myself – I tapped into that – then she steps into this whole world of this burlesque environment & falling in love with it & she’s never seen anything before like this in her life & she’s just drawn in2 it & wants so desperately to prove herself to Tess whose Cher’s character & uno they have this sort of on going banter throughout the film – her trying to get Cher to listen to her & her ideas & trying to get her to see her for a performer that she really is & she kind of shuns her away but at the very end they kind of come together & it’s a really incredible emotional moment.

Cher’s been incredible too – since day one – she has just embraced me with open arms – its meant the world to me – her emails of encouragement & support are like unwrapping little pieces of candy & getting the best sensation from it – I mean she’s been very much like a mentor to me – but its strange – the two of us get together in a room & for some strange reason I feel like we are old girlfriends & we’ll talk & talk & talk & she just has stories for days & I just find her the most fascinating person I may have ever met.

Christina Aguilera is doing her first movie ever – with Cher! It’s a musical called “Burlesque” – no prizes for guessing what it’s about.

Our LA correspondent Sal Morgan caught up with Aguilera on set and asked her about what it’s like working with Cher.

Dools had an Xtina story of his own… it involved bikinis and Sai. The mind boggles…

LISTEN TO THE INTEVIEW

I just got back to my hotel after a 16 hour day of work, my last on the movie Burlesque. I am really tired, but I can’t imagine how the girl dancers are feeling tonight.  They have been dancing their asses off, at full pelt, all day long, wearing these chain-mail style dresses that are already making scrapes and grazes on their skin – and they have a whole day of doing it all again tomorrow. It’s the finale of the film, a song written by Christina, and it really is amazing. But wow, those girls, I don’t envy them. And the set is so hot because there are huge stage lights on all day and the air conditioning can’t be turned on because it makes the smoke that is pumped into the sound stage to increase the lighting effects disappear. At least they all look totally hot and are going to be worshipped the world over come Thanksgiving. Here’s a little film I made today…

2) Christina Aguilera’s New Image? – A mysterious series of videos have been posted to YouTube under the name “iamamiwhoami” and many people are speculating that they’re part of a marketing campaign for Christina Aguilera’s new album. While her publicist issued a statement to MTV News saying it’s not Christina, we’ll let you judge for yourself.

I’ve updated a low quality video of Christina behind the scenes of ‘Burlesque’ on ‘Entertainment Tonight‘. Hopefully a better version will surface soon.

Last night Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman attended a pre-Grammy bash at Wonderland, and though the couple appeared sullen when they arrived, it looks like they were dressed to have a good time! Well, hot mama Xtina was anyway. Dayum, girl! Heidi Montag wishes hers looked this good!

On Tuesday we brought you behind the scenes as sports icon and global humanitarian Muhammad Ali and multi-Grammy winner Christina Aguilera filmed a new Haiti relief effort PSA. Now we show you the final product!

Appearing together in a new public service announcement, the duo are teaming up to raise funds for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Haitian relief effort. Donations will go directly to WFP’s efforts to get food to survivors of Haiti’s devastating earthquake.

The PSA urges viewers to donate $5 by texting FRIENDS to 90999 or visit www.fromhungertohope.com. Your donation of $5 will feed 20 hungry children in the earthquake-ravaged country, according to the WFP.

Aguilera is also the spokesperson for Yum! Brands World Hunger Relief, the world’s largest private-sector, hunger-relief effort that is underwriting the PSA.
