These days, Christina Aguilera isn’t shying away from talking about personal matters such as her weight, as evidenced by her Marie Claire cover story. And it seems she’s funneling that type of personal material into lyrics for her upcoming LP. “I’m recording my next album right now, and I’m really excited because I find myself in a very introspective stage of my life,” Aguilera says in a new NBC promo video for the upcoming second season of The Voice. Watch below.

“I’ve learned so much, have experienced so much, in leaps and bounds,” Christina continues. “It’s a journey of growth for me, continuously throughout my career. I’m excited to put it all down on paper through my lyrics and my voice.”

It’s nice to see that Xtina has gained some confidence following the smash first season ofThe Voice and her return to the top of the charts with “Moves Like Jagger”. Hopefully this latest bout of enthusiasm for writing translates into even more hits.
