It’s been a rough year for Christina Aguilera.  In the last 12 months, she’s experienced a divorce, an unsuccessful album, a flop movie, a very public screw-up at the Super Bowl, a stumble at the Grammys, rumors about her wild behavior, and an arrest for public intoxication.  But her longtime producer says this is the stuff from which great art is made.

Speaking to Popeater.com, Claude Kelly says he’s spoken to the singer, who’s preparing for her debut next month as a judge on the NBC show The Voice. He says, “She’s a fighter. She’s had a few stumbles, but everybody does.  It’s just that she’s in the public eye.”  Kelly adds, “She usually takes those types of situations and turns them into huge musical moments…I believe she’s going to turn all of this into a record that the world will love. I have no doubt she will be fine.”

Why the press are telling that Burlesque is flopped?!

A movie grossed 89 million and above should not considered as flopped! They should be burned into hell with their fucking lying tongues!

okay kids. i like christina just as much as you, but let’s be honest… “bionic” could have been great, but with half the tracks, she confused “fun” with just plain “juvenile” (i.e. vanity, i hate boys, etc). despite the fact that i love some of the songs (prima donna, glam, bionic itself, you lost me), it was by no means a great album.
as for burlesque, what the hell was that? come on, people, it missed the “camp” mark and was just terrible. (and don’t tell me that’s how a musical should be; there’s fun corny, and there’s bad.) the soundtrack of her oversinging under-thought-out songs was even worse that the film itself. god knows how it got nominated for a golden globe to begin with.

so it’s okay to be a fan of christina and love her, because i certainly do. really. i’ve been a huge fan of hers from the start.
but it’s also okay to recognize the fact that critics pointing out her screw ups aren’t just “haters”, because she has in fact made a series of poor choices professionally and artistically. but hey, she’s human, and we all make said poor choices at one point or another, right?

i’m looking forward to what she does next like crazy. she’s looking gorgeous these days and i think the past year will have given her loads of emotional development and maturity that she can transfer into an amazing new album. cannot wait to hear what the woman does next!
