Christina Aguilera, looking newly-tanned, cheerfully toted her 3-year-old son Max as she and boyfriend Matthew Rutler arrived at LAX in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday (April 8).

The Candyman singer recently talked about how she is coping with her recent setbacks, including flubbing the lyrics to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and her divorce from Jordan Bratman.

“If you make a mistake, you know what? You’re human and you’re going to catch flack for it and that’s just the way it is,” she said. “The best thing at the end of the day is that you can prove to not only everyone else, but most importantly yourself, that you’re strong enough to get back up on that stage and be fearless enough to try again and know within yourself that it will be better.”
