Cher has a message for gay teens: The people who survive adversity in high school are the ones who achieve more later in life, the superstar says in a video interview. Cher’s Burlesque costar Christina Aguilera says she rose above being bullied herself as a child and that if her son comes out as gay to her, she will love him for his individuality, no matter what.

The cast of the upcoming musical film spoke to The Advocate about the recent spate of gay teenagers who have committed suicide after being bullied by their classmates. Watch the video below.

    Freaking loooove this video!! Veryencouraging! It’s true….the ones who get doubted or made fun of in high school r ususlayy the ones who are successful later in life! It’s like once u leave high school…you’ll see that those bad memories ARE NOT ffective at all inlife like u thought they were while IN high school. It’s all temporary! Thanks for xtina rising above her problems…she bacame a fighter!
