Christina Aguilera stepped out with a new guy over the weekend at the SoHo House in West Hollywood.

The newly single singer was on a double date with Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, and the blond babe wasn’t exactly trying to hide her affections for her new beau, just his face.

Here’s what went down:

Xtina hit up the exclusive club with Matthew D. Rutler, a set assistant from her upcoming movie Burlesque.

“The group was hanging out in a corner of the private club together,” an eyewitness dishes. “Christina and Matt were cuddling on a couch together and left holding hands. They definitely seemed like a couple.”Aguilera, dressed casual in leggings, flats and a T-shirt never left her new dude’s side as they hung with Nicole, Joel and a gaggle of bodyguards, natch.

Richie and Madden (who are about to walk down the aisle in a month) left first to go get the car, while Christina and Matthew came down after.

Aguilera attempted to hide Matt’s face as they hopped in the back of Madden’s car, but those sneaky paps say they caught the two holding hands and looking very cuddly trying to sneak out.

Pals of Christina say her relationship with Rutler started as friends and just recently turned into something romantic, while her mom swears the two aren’t dating.
